Subject

Physics of the carrier transportation in the high mobility existence machine semiconductor

Summary: The mobility of the organic transistor having high crystal characteristics reaches more than 10cm2 /Vs, and there is already it with performance and the aspect of the stability for a practical use stage. On the other hand, there are many points where the simplest I-V properties are not understood, and establishment of the physics of the carrier transportation in the high mobility existence airplane semiconductor is required. It does not depend on the hopping conduction that a carrier in particular localized to a child for one minute, and many arguments are done by the both sides of an experiment, the theory whether it is the band transportation that a carrier delocalized in a crystal like an inorganic semiconductor. We argue about the localization / fault localization of the carrier by measuring the absorption spectrum of device carriers by temperature dependence of device properties and electric charge abnormality spectrum (Charge modulation spectroscopy:CMS) and the Hall effect for the organic transistor which I manufactured by a solution process. By this lecture, I introduce the result of temperature / electric field strength dependence of CMS, the Hall effect measurement and the theory calculation for the transistor using high crystalline TIPS-pentacene which showed the band-like temperature characteristic where mobility rises to with cooling in particular and the derivative, and the high mobility of the crystalline organic semiconductor shows a guidance to making it it.
