On November 2nd, Government of Japan announced recipients of "Medals of Honor Fall 2013." They were awarded to 784 individuals (including 174 women) and 14 groups.
Professor Junji Kido, an authority of Organic LED used in many things such as television screens, was selected as a recipient of Medal with Purple Ribbon which is given to those who have contributed to academic and artistic development.
