Prof. Junji KIDO’s Group has developed a new technology that can manufacture organic EL panel with high luminance efficiency but using only tenth part of its normal cost. Its efficiency is almost as same as LED (Light Emitting Diode), a familiar emission method. It is expected to make a high efficiency illumination device with low cost. KIDO’s group will go on to develop a large area panel manufacturing technology cooperated with Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd and Konica Minolta Japan, aiming to put them to the market in a couple of years.
