Organic Solar Cell (OSC) is expected to be the Solar Cell (SC) of the next generation because they require simple manufacturing process and needs lower manufacturing cost, as compared to those for conventional silicone SC, yet provides wider range of applications. OSC of flexible structure is expected to offer not only a significant potential as the power source, but also a wider applications, e.g. that for internal/external facing because of their excellent design adaptability. The OSC research department is presently working on the development of manufacturing process for OSC with large-area and high-efficiency by adopting highly productive roll-to-roll principle.
