J-RISE; Japan Regional Innovation Strategy Program by the Excellence

Establishment of International Center for Advanced Organic Electronics Research

The objective of this project is to invite distinguished researchers of relevant fields of specialties and organize them with the core of equally distinguished researchers of regional academia, thereby to create and invigorate innovation of local industry through acceleration of research activities and to facilitate linkage and cooperation among industry, academia and local government administration.
Yamagata University has been pursuing the latest and most advanced organic electro luminescence technology, and securing that knowledge and expertise as the core technology, distinguished researchers in the fields of organic solar cells and organic transistors are invited from within Japan and from abroad, and cooperation with foreign researchers of Nobel laureate-class is included in the project activities, toward the establishment of an international stronghold for organic electronics' research and development, of which scope includes all the aspects of organic electronics and is capable of seamlessly implementing material development, device design as well as process development.
