The 3rd Research Conference on Practical Realization of Organic Electronics was held on June 17 (Fri.), 2011, at TKP Tokyo Station Nihon-bashi Business Center, with some 60 participants.
As the comprehensive summary of the Conference, which completed all the 3 scheduled meetings, Prof. Jun-ichiro Yamazaki (President, Academic Research Dept., Utsunomiya University) talked on the official report of the conference. Subsequent presentations were “Tasks and expectations on the practical realization of organic electronics” by Mr. Jiro Orikasa (ex-fellow, Sony Advanced Materials Research Institute) and “Resurgence of North East Japan - implementation of policies for Science and Technology Innovation” by Prof. Masahiro Kuroda (Dean, Tohoku University of Community Service and Science). The conference was closed with the presentations by Prof. Yoshihiro Ohba (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Yamagata University), titled “Organic Electronics Innovation Center scheme at Yamagata University” and “Introduction of Organic Electronics Consortium scheme.”
During the conference, speakers and participants engaged in active and vigorous discussions; some 60 participants successfully shared heightened motivation and morale for the practical realization of organic electronics and heartily agreed that the conferences were quite fruitful.
