[Press report]“Yamagata University in Yonezawa starts to develop next-generation lithium-ion battery”(Nihon Keizai Shimbun May 3, p. 35)

Nihon Keizai Shimbun (May 3, p. 35) published an article entitled “Yamagata University in Yonezawa starts to develop next-generation lithium-ion battery”. The article stated that Yamagata University will cooperate with major chemistry makers and set about the development of next-generation lithium ion battery. The research group by Prof. Hideya Yoshitake aims at the functional improvement of the separator, which is a main component of the lithium-ion battery, to attain a longer life and higher power of the battery. “Research center of electricity storage device” (tentative name) is built at next summer.
