The 18rd ROEL Lecture Session was held inviting Associate Professor Kenji Yoshino, (Miyazaki University) on November 8 2011, at ROEL conference room.

The zinc oxide transparent electrode is said to be ITO substitute, and a study is conducted lively, but it is the present conditions that is not readily tied to industrialization. As the reason, deterioration with the water is said to be the main reason. Furthermore, expectation is sent to a non-vacuum process not to be able to lower cost by the vacuum process.
In Miyazaki University, I succeed in low temperature (room temperature) growth in a non-vacuum process of zinc oxide for the first time, and becoming it confirms low resistance by the doping, and further low resistance aims at becoming it. Furthermore, I begin to perform the study of the application to a device.
In this lecture, I introduce the present conditions and the device application of the zinc oxide transparent electrode by the non-vacuum process.
