Yamagata University will open a measuring center in Yonezawa (Yamagata Prefecture) where characteristics of lighting from LED or OLED illumination devices can be measured accurately. 3 m diameter large-sized measuring device has been introduced in this center. It is the 2nd case in Japan that such large-sized measuring device has been installed at public experiment research institution and the 1st one is Tokushima prefecture. It is expected to match the needs of illumination manufacturers and the center will be started up from this July.
