Yamagata University released on June 18th that its research team is trying to develop a smaller and thin measuring instrument relating to a near-infrared light sensor for measuring the amount of active oxygen and sugar content of fruit. The univiersity has received the support from Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany (BMBF), and will do further research with the cooperation of Technische Universitat Dresden (Germany).
