The 51st ROEL Lecture Session was held on December 13th at Seminar Room on the 1st floor in 100th Anniversary Hall, inviting Mr. Yuji Morimiya, President and CEO of Acarine Inc., as a guest speaker.
More than 30 researchers and students attended to the lecture entitled "Fusion of Light and Sound: Acarine's Challenge", and it finished in success.

The word "Acarine" is the combination of "Akari" and "Ne" which mean light and sound, respectively. The name is derived from the concept that we want to create products related to both light and sound. OLEDs should be produced from the user's point of view not from engineer's view, with making the best use of their great characteristics. Acarine has produced unique products with designers' great creativity and the method called a rapid prototype.
In this seminar, our process of product development and latest product, wireless speaker lamp, will be introduced.
